Porto sign Atletico's Samu Omorodion for €15m just weeks after €40m Chelsea move collapsed

Porto has signed Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid for €15 million, following the collapse of his proposed move to Chelsea. Atletico will retain a 50% sell-on clause, which Porto has the option to reduce by an additional 15% for €5 million by July 2025 and again a year later. Omorodion, 20, has agreed to a five-year contract with Porto, including a €100 million release clause. Chelsea’s failed deal with Omorodion led them to sign Joao Felix from Atletico, allowing Atletico’s move for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher to go ahead. Omorodion previously played on loan for Alaves and was part of the Spain squad at the Olympic Games. Porto’s match against Rio Ave will be Omorodion’s first with the team.
